Tunes for the Trail

I run with my trusty old 8GB nano and it's great. Small, yet holds a plethora of songs. However, the old vertical design is a pain to wear on my waist, but that's not a good enough reason to go out and buy the new generation nano. A shuffle would be nice, but I can't justify dropping that much money just because I want something smaller. I got an email from Apple today stating that the 1GB shuffle is now $49. What's that you say? Oh Apple, how you force me to spend money because you are geniuses. $49 is not that much! On top of that, they're going to launch the 2GB shuffle soon for only $69. That is pure craziness! What is your technology of choice?

I really like Outkast and Blackeyed Peas. The music has a good running beat.

Agreed on the BEP's! I have some Madonna, Veruca Salt and Nelly Furtado. Sometimes a little James Brown will really get me movin'.

I prefer a good guitar based jam session from the master - Jimi Hendrix. Nothing beats running up some hills like a little Purple Haze blasting in your ear.

My favorite "move your legs to the beat" song is Avril Lavine's girlfriend... that's a good fast pace.
Top 10 Most played from my "Work yo' buns" playlist (not including girlfriend):
1. Rock Star - N.E.R.D. (this is a good one when you feel like you want to quit)
2. They Way I Are - Timbaland
3. Mr. Brightside - The Killers
4. Glow - Nelly Furtado
5. Umbrella - Rhianna (I remember this one playing last year during my night run... still makes me happy)
6. Touched - Vast (great warmup and cooldown song - slow to fast to slow again)
7. Honey - Moby
8. The Pretender - Foo Fighters
9. What You Waiting for? - Gwen Stefani
10. Maneater - Nelly Furtado
